Hello! Meet my son Jake! We call him Big Juicy! He’s 22 and 6’10”!

He’s my Mr. mechanic!

As a teen he developed kyphosis of the spine.

On September 27, 2022, 2 1/2 feet of rods and 26 screws were placed in his spine to straighten it.

On his 22nd birthday in Jan 2025, he couldn’t walk. The vertebrae below his rods had begun to twist. Surgeons shaved his vertebrae to relieve the pressure on his spinal column.

He’s currently in the hospital again. He couldn’t walk again and was in agony. In a few days the remaining vertebrae below his rods will all be fused. Making his entire spine covered in rods and screws. He’s not going to be able to walk afterwards.

We NEED a minivan, ramps, the door frames of our home widened and who knows what else.

A wheelchair has been arranged-Thank heavens!

I’m a single mom and have raised 4 boys by myself for a long time. I barely scrape by as it is. I also have a cute little 1 1/2 year old grandbaby boy zipping around the house.

Anything helps! Even if it’s just thoughts and prayers.
