Hi, my name is Jaicie. I have the opportunity to volunteer this summer at Royal Family KIDS Camp in Mission Viejo, California. As someone who grew up in foster care and attended Royal Family KIDS Camp (now Starfish KIDS Camp) as a child, I know just how life-changing the experience can be. It was one of the first places where I truly felt safe, seen, and unconditionally loved.

Now I feel called to give back to the same camp that once gave me so much hope and joy. Volunteering at RFK is deeply personal to me—it's a chance to help create those same powerful moments for other children navigating the challenges of foster care. I want to be apart of creating those meaningful memories for other children, helping them feel seen, valued and hopeful- just as I did during my time at camp.
