During our travels in Indonesia, the Backpackboys-TV boys were lucky enough to meet one of the kindest, most caring and generous humans we have ever met (Jahn). Jahn has gone above and beyond to make us feel like family, even though we are 10,000 miles from home. Not only us- but he does this with everyone in his village; constantly giving back and helping anyone in need, regardless of the fact that he needs help himself. Together with your help he can finish building his family’s home. He has no idea we are doing this, and it will be a total surprise to him.

Without support, he faces the heartbreaking choice of leaving his wife and children behind to work in Ireland just to earn enough money to send back home. His dream is simple: to complete the construction so his family can live together in comfort and stability. We’ve been deeply touched by his kindness and generosity, and we can’t imagine him being separated from his loved ones when he is so close to achieving this dream. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference—together, we can help him complete his home, stay with his family, and complete the life he’s been working toward for years.

We are so grateful to be in a position where we can use social media to completely change not only his life, but many others in his village. We will document his surprised reaction after you get to know him better through a filmed journey we take together through the most remote areas of Indonesia.
