Help Jade's Spinal Recovery

Anyone who knows me knows I don't like asking for help. I'm a "figure it out" kind of person. If you know us, you know we are not the ones to ask for help in this way as we are both very prideful and would rather help than be helped, so for me to be here now it means my back is truly against the wall.

Back in September of 2022 (9 months into our newlywed lives) my wife Jade had an unforeseeable incident. As some of you may know in less than 48 hours after walking into the ER she went from perfectly fine to paralyzed from the waist down. After being left in a hospital bed paralyzed for 7 days and with no answers to our many questions she finally had emergency surgery. After surgery she was diagnosed with something very rare named cauda equina syndrome (severe compression in the lower part of the spine). This situation left Jade in a wheelchair for 7 months and partially paralyzed in both legs. She was left with severe numbness, lack of sensation and lack of mobility in both legs.

This unfortunate situation led to a domino effect in her life that effects us to this day. She lost a career as a parole officer she worked so hard to build, she lost her capability to come home to her family for 7 months post surgery because she couldn't climb stairs and that's just the tip of the Iceberg. Dispite the odds we were able to make some modifications to our home and she finally came home in March of 2023.

Since Jade came home the road to recovery has been long and hard both physically and mentally but in March of 2024 she needed a second surgery because of the constant and continuous pain and lack of return of full mobility. She is still suffering from pain and loss of mobility dispite the 2nd surgery and things are finally taking it's toll on us especially financially. She was denied for disability and her unemployment will soon run out. We have spent most of our savings including what would have been the down-payment on our first home just to stay afloat.

This situation has left us with serious financial hardships to the point we really need your help. All money donated will go straight to Jade to help with bills.
