Help Jacob get a disability trike!
Donation protected
Hello everyone. My son Jacob who is 8 has autism, sensory processing disorder, pica, global development delay, sleep difficulties, is non verbal and also has possible adhd. He has limited understanding and no danger awareness.
Despite this he is the happiest boy you could ever meet. He loves going outdoors and to theme parks.
We have looked at getting Jacob a disability trike as he loves things that move. This would give him a bit more freedom. He is unable to ride on a normal trike or bike as he doesn’t understand how to stay on it and tries to touch the tyres as it moves. He also needs helps with steering so it needs to have parental controls.
We had a demo for a Tom Cat Trike recently and they are specially made for individual children’s needs. When he had the demo he fell in love with it and his face lit up. He took to it so well and we were so proud of him.
Now this is where I ask a massive favour. The cost of the trike is over £4000! There is no way we can afford to purchase one on our own but we would like him to have one as we are sure it will benefit him and bring a lot of happiness.
Those of you that know Jacob know how much he would love the trike and would get a lot out of it.
If you can donate we would really appreciate it. Even if it’s £1, it all counts and would make a massive impact on jacobs life. We know that times are difficult for a lot of people financially at the moment so understand if you cannot donate, but you can still help by sharing this post.
He is the sweetest, most affectionate boy. If you got this far Thankyou so much for reading x
