I had the privilege of joining a medical mission trip this summer to Costa Rica, and your support made that experience possible. It was transformative—not only in the care we provided, but in the lessons I carried home. Now, I’m preparing to return, this time to Cusco, Peru, where I’ll be offering vital healthcare services to underserved communities.

I’ll be traveling with the same incredible team: my close friend who’s a Certified Nursing Assistant, another friend who’s a Dental Assistant, and my boyfriend, who will serve as our Spanish translator. Together, we’ll be working alongside local providers to deliver compassionate, culturally humble care—something I’m deeply committed to as a senior nursing and social work student currently immersed in community health.

This trip will expand my understanding of global health equity and deepen my ability to serve diverse populations with empathy and skill. It’s more than a trip—it’s a continuation of the values I’m building my nursing practice on.
