#TikTok said I need to make him a #GoFundMe, so that’s what I did. This is my friend J. He’s 19 years old and has been homeless for some time now due to being kicked out by his mom. She’s withholding his documents (birth certificate, social, ID), so he’s literally been unable to start his life. He’s had two friends whose moms would let him stay, but eventually, he ends up having to leave with nowhere to go.
For the last year, every so often, I’d catch him in front of Starbucks on 161 across from the courthouses and make sure he’s eaten for the day, but at this point, that’s not enough because he’s still out here and it’s only getting colder. I’ve tried to get the cops to help him; I’ve even researched programs he could go to, but all roads lead back to the necessities he does not have♀️♀️
If we can help him get on his feet, the Lord would be so delighted. He’s 19, he needs basic necessities starting with a phone, consistent food, clothes, and shelter. We are working on getting his birth certificate, which will allow us to get his ID & social so he can be entered into a program of some sort. I’ve been going through this with him privately for about a year, and all I can do is feed him every time I see him, but God told me to ask for help on his behalf. If he has a phone, I can keep better track of his whereabouts. After the outpour of love he’s received on TikTok, I figured we might as well bring it here. Who knows, maybe we all could help SAVE his life! We’ve reached almost 10k views on TikTok so if everybody that’s watching donated $1 the impact would be dynamic!
Sympathy allows for you to feel bad for others, empathy makes you reflect on how you would feel if it were you and forces you to MOVE thank y'all in advance❤️
