Last night changed everything for my child, Izzy.

In a matter of hours, an apartment fire took a home, belongings, work, and even a beloved pet. The space that once felt safe, creative, and independent is gone. Watching a child go through something this sudden and traumatic is something no parent is ever prepared for.

Izzy is a costume designer, living and working in New York City, who pours heart and soul into the craft. In addition to all personal items, all of Izzy's working materials and tools were lost in the fire. Along with grieving so much loss, there is now the overwhelming reality of starting over from nothing. The focus now becomes finding a new place to live, replacing basic essentials like clothes and furniture, and somehow rebuilding a livelihood.

If you know Izzy, you know the resilience, creativity, and kindness that define Izzy. There is hope for rebuilding, but right now, support is deeply needed to get there.
