On Thursday, August 7th, 2025, our father, Izzy Almendarez, had a brain aneurysm rupture and had to be care-flighted immediately to UTSW in Dallas. He was pulled into surgery immediately and has made it through surgery. Unfortunately, this is just the start of a long road of critical care and recovery.

Doctors informed us yesterday that it is looking to be 21 days before he can be released and months of no work as he recovers at home once released. The time between day 5-7 will be the most critical time, as his aneurysm will begin to bleed again.

Izzy's wife and mother will need help with travel, hotel, food, and home expenses such as rent and utilities as they stay with him during the duration of his recovery time. Anything helps!!!
