<div>On Thursday, August 7th, 2025, <strong>our father, Izzy Almendarez, had a brain aneurysm rupture</strong> and had to be care-flighted immediately to UTSW in Dallas. He was pulled into surgery immediately and has made it through surgery. Unfortunately, this is just the start of a long road of critical care and recovery.

<div>Doctors informed us yesterday that it is looking to be 21 days before he can be released and months of no work as he recovers at home once released. <strong>The time between day 5-7 will be the most critical time, as his aneurysm will begin to bleed again.</strong>

<div><strong>Izzy's wife and mother will need help with travel, hotel, food, and home expenses such as rent and utilities as they stay with him during the duration of his recovery time.</strong> Anything helps!!!
