I'm Iwalani—a musician, educator, artist, and mama doing my best to stay grounded through a heavy season of life.

I'm reaching out with a humble heart to ask for support during a time of grief and unexpected financial hardship.

Recently, we experienced a devastating loss in our family. The tragic murder of my very close cousin Shaheen has left all of us shaken. We have had so many deaths befall our family in such a short amount of time in these recent years, and this tragedy that took my cousin has rocked our family.

I'm hoping to travel to attend the memorial services and be present with my loved ones as we honor and say goodbye to someone very dear to us.

At the same time, I've personally been hit with a string of unexpected financial setbacks—urgent car repairs, travel costs, and other challenges that have made things extra difficult. These expenses have come at a time when our resources are already stretched thin.

I’m hoping to raise $500 or more to help with:

• Travel expenses to attend memorial services

• Urgent car repairs

• A bit of breathing room to take some time off work as we regroup and recover from these sudden hardships.
