Help Support Ivory’s Family During Her Critical Hospital Stay

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and urgent hopes for our beloved Ivory Kloos. Just days ago, Ivory was a healthy and vibrant young woman. Today, she is fighting for her life in the ICU at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center’s Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, sedated and sustained by machines after suffering sudden heart failure.

Ivory has been diagnosed with viral myocarditis—a rare and aggressive condition caused by an unknown virus that attacked her heart, reducing its function to just 10%. She was originally flown from Stillwater Medical Center to Oklahoma Heart Hospital, and now to INTEGRIS, where she is being supported by an ECMO machine and a balloon pump to circulate her blood and give her heart a fighting chance to rest and recover.

Doctors are doing everything they can, including multiple interventions and potential future surgeries. A biopsy will be performed to better understand the cause of the heart failure, and while she is stable for now, the risks are high. She may remain sedated for up to 21 days as her body fights to heal. There are serious risks involved—paralysis, potential leg loss, and further heart damage—but her medical team is giving her the best chance possible.

Through it all, Ivory is showing her strength. Even in sedation, her fighting spirit shines through—so much so that doctors have had to increase her sedation to prevent her from pulling at life-saving equipment. We’re grateful for that fire. She’s a fighter, and we believe she can come through this.

We are asking for your help to raise $5,000 to support Ivory’s family during this critical time. Specifically, the funds will go toward:

• Lodging for her family at a hotel located within the heart hospital so they can be close to Ivory 24/7 during her long and uncertain ICU stay.

• Financial assistance for Ivory’s mother, who has taken off work to be by her daughter’s side and now faces bills and living expenses with no income.

• Emergency needs that arise during the coming days as her condition evolves and care decisions must be made quickly and calmly.
