IUP Sigma Chi - WINTER BLITZ 3

Over the past two years we have conducted Winter Blitz’s raising more than $28,000. All the funds from the Blitz campaigns goes directly to the MORTGAGE. We are now on target to pay the house off in about a year. The House Corp will own the house straight out!

BUT…Why wait? We need to offer reduced rent and be the most competitive commercial housing in Indiana now. We owe it to the undergrads and the future of the Eta Omicron at IUP. Let’s offer the most competitive rents as we can on the leases for Fall ‘25/Spring ’26.

Introducing MORTGAGE ELIMINATION WINTER BLITZ 3

It has been 5 years since we started our mortgage payoff campaigns (Smackdown, Beat the Clock and the Winter Blitz). When we started this journey, our mortgage was a whopping $243,326. As of February 2025, our mortgage is down to $27,000.

Our goal is to raise the remaining $27,000 and pay the house off now! Starting today through April 1 we are conducting another “MORTGAGE ELIMINATION WINTER BLITZ 3”. The Housing Corporation promises that every dime of the first $27,000 we raise will go towards - paying off the mortgage early! Nothing else!

Anything over $27,000 will go to much needed BlockHouse Furniture such as beds, dressers, desks, sofas and end tables. All of the current furniture dates back to the Grand Opening of the house in 2006 or 19 years ago. These initiatives are extra efforts designed for our alumni to go beyond normal Housing Corporation operation funds.
