- Dear supporters...and our sympathetic supporters...no one can deny that writing about Gaza is painful and promising at the same time. We rely on our hope in you, and your giving makes the flowers of our dreams, which were forcibly and unjustly picked in the tragedy of October 7,
- flourish. The family of Mr. Islam Jamil from Khan Younis, a simple family consisting of six children and their parents, distinguished children in their studies, excelling in their school competitions, loving knowledge and not hesitating for a moment to make childhood dreams that were harmed before they saw the light. They lived through the horrors of a war that their small bodies could not comprehend, and fear was like the darkness that descended upon their land, announcing the tragedy of war and endless displacement. The schools that once honored them now shelter them as refugees fleeing the brutality of death and destruction, and the house in which they grew up has become rubble, stained with the blood of their martyred grandfather and their cousins who were killed in a barbaric aggression on the house on July 16
- This year, the head of the family lost his job and they no longer have any source of income at all. Before the closure of the Rafah crossing, which is the only gateway to life for the afflicted people in Gaza, we were able to travel to the sister country of Egypt with great difficulty, but unfortunately the largest part of the family remained stuck in the clutches of war in Gaza, and as you know they have no power or strength, and here we are trying hard to help them and support their steadfastness as much as we can, but as much as we fear for them, we are unable to support them with what meets their needs, because here we do not receive any financial support from any official body, not to mention the high prices, real estate rents and electricity bills that burden us.
- Our outstanding children are now receiving electronic education away from school desks, and as you know, the student must interact with society and create an effective learning environment to develop their skills and exploit their excellence. We seek in you the spirit of humanity and assistance, and we hope to help us in educating our children with a successful education and sheltering them in a comfortable home until the war ends and we return to our homes. God willing, their education here for a full academic year costs about five thousand dollars for five children, and we are actually unable to pay the rent and electricity bills and provide the basic necessities of life. We are all hopeful for you, as we grow with you and your support, and always remember that God helps the servant as long as the servant helps his brother.
