Help Isla beat Rhabdomyosarcoma, please.

If you’re reading this you likely know me, or someone in my large circle of people.

 

Two of my closest people need your help, not just financially, but emotionally, spiritually, and any other form of love, thoughts, prayers, good vibes you can give.

 

Let me tell you a little about Danielle and Isla. Danielle has endometriosis and decided to take her fate in her own hands. She found a donor and did all of the things needed to have a baby on her own. You might be thinking “wow that takes strength” or maybe if you have kids “wow she’s crazy!” Well your right it does (and maybe she is), but out of Danielle’s strength came the sweetest, sassiest, strongest willed little girl you’ll ever meet, Isla. She’s a firecracker in the best (and sometimes the worst) ways. She loves dance and gymnastics and can’t wait to start preschool this fall. She’s my 3 year old, Campbell’s best friend and my sisters whole world and we need your help.

 

Earlier this week Isla was diagnosed with a cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. A cancer of tissue that was found in her perfect little face, her sinus and nasal cavities to be exact. Every day we are getting more answers, but for now we know that Isla will need chemo and radiation treatments as well as a g tube to make sure she’s getting the proper nutrition. We also know that we found the best team of doctors for her condition at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago and are grateful to all of the people who have reached out so far.

 

I never imagined having to make this for my own sister, but any amount of money you can spare, even if it’s just replacing a coffee for a day and donating that $5 here, we will appreciate the hell out of it. All of these life saving measures will be expensive, more than a single mom will be able to pay for on her own. For example, just getting Isla to Luries Children’s hospital cost $10,000 and insurance doesn’t cover it. It’s not fair, none of this is fair.
