Help Isabella in Her Fight Against Aggressive Leukemia
Donation protected
In July 2022, my little sister, Isabella, was taken to urgent care after growing concern about her strengthening sickness. In what was said to be a stomach flu, she was later called to immediately arrive to the nearest emergency room. Her blood was sent and analyzed at a lab in Los Angeles, and the doctors were certain that it was leukemia. She was treated right away and the amazing team at Kaiser Pediatric Oncology in Anaheim were able to start her journey and ensure her recovery. She fought for 2 and half years until she finally entered remission and finished all of her treatments. A true blessing in her full recovery.
7 months later after her full recovery, she relapsed from the leukemia. This time, it struck even harder. It came back more aggressive and devastated our family. My sister is the fiercest, strongest, and most mature warrior and I know that she will fight back. But throughout her entire journey from 2022 until today, My dad has never left her side. My dad has walked with her in her journey every step of the way and would do absolutely anything for her. He has stayed by her side through every treatment, every appointment, every operation, every scare, and every moment throughout the past 3 years. He is her biggest supporter and will continue to accompany her and fight this sickness with her.
But because my dad and my sister are inseparable best friends who never leave each other out of love, he has had to take a lot of time off of work. Thankfully his job is very supportive of him and had given him some paid time off. He is back working while my family aids her at home. But very soon in August, my sister will undergo a bone marrow transplant as a milestone in her journey of recovery but she will need to be 24/7 monitored at City of Hope in Duarte, California by her team. And only my dad will be able to accompany her every single day that she is there. Because of this, he will need to take time off work again to be with her. We are trying to do everything we can as a family to be able to remain stable as it will take a toll on us.
We've decided to create this page to share her story and enlighten those who've read this chapter of her life and our part in her journey of recovery. We will make sure that 100% of all donations will go to any and all expenses that will support her well-being and ensure that she will be able to complete a full recovery. We thank you if you'd read all of this and we are forever grateful for any donation that you gift to our Bella. And if you aren't able to donate, no problem at all! We ask that you share her story in hopes others may be able to donate! Thank you all and God bless.
