Isabella was born on April 1 st 2021. Isabella was taken to tennova hospital on 4/29. Where she wasn’t breathing good and hadn’t ate sense noon the day before. Then she was transferred to Vanderbilt children’s hospital where they automatically started running test to find out what was wrong. They done a spinal tap ( to get fluid) and pus came out. The doctors were able to get a little bit of spinal fluid to send off to be cultured. As soon as the spinal tap was done Isabella was sent straight to the ICU unit at Vanderbilt children’s hospital. Then 24 hrs later the doctor informed the mother that the culture had grown and they sent it off to be tested. Isabella has e.coi meningitis. This can be treated by IV antibiotics within 14-21 days. So Isabella has to remain in hospital for three weeks to remain on IV antibiotics and fluids. Doctors and parents are taking this day by day. All we can do now is hope and pray for the best but prepare for the worst. With the parents needing to be by Isabella’s side. We are asking for donations. They both work full time but can’t work due to there one month old being so sick. They need help
with household bills and food and there stay at hospital. This isn’t the mother’s only child she has to get care for the other two other girls. A ten year old and a two year old.
So that the parents can focus on Isabella and her health. Any donations are appreciated. Even if it’s a dollar, or a prayer ,even share this post would help! They will at least be there for three weeks if not longer. Vanderbilt children’s hospital PICU! Help if you can please!
