Help Ironclad Defend Our Community
Ironclad has suffered in many ways as a result of the day of the bightening. There is still almost daily fallout stemming from the November 29th, 2020 incident. Members of the alt right, white supremacist hate group, COPS NW, have threatened him and his wife with so much astounding violence that the family had to break their lease and leave their home.
He receives hate mail and threats from COPS NW members on a near daily basis. They have taken a specific turn as of late, and are now primarily focused on sexual violence being inflicted on Ironclad’s wife. Another reminder that this hate group is not only abhorrently racist, but also intensely misogynistic.
COPS NW vandalized his truck repeatedly. These people have smashed the tail lights and head lights, they somehow managed to actually bend the steel frame, they’ve scratched the paint in many places using an angle grinder, they smashed off the side mirrors, they the cut the knock sensor harnesses as well as the rear wiring harness, and of course they’ve they’ve slashed the tires in true chud fashion.
Recently, COPS NW cut the hydrolic cables on Ironclad’s truck. This caused a vehicle failure on the freeway, which disabled the truck. This will be extremely expensive to repair. He also could have been killed on the freeway.
The donations from this Go Fund Me campaign will go towards repairing Ironclad’s truck.
James de Bacqua, better known as Ironclad has been a longtime anti fascist in Portland, OR. On November 29th, while defending a group of people after a BLM For The Children March in Vancouver, WA, he was attacked and bitten by a woman. He was then arrested on charges he was later fully exonerated from. However, while in jail he was beaten and deprived of essential medications and medical care. Since this incident Ironclad has been under constant violent harassment from alt right groups. He has had his vehicle vandalized, his spouse threatened with sexual assault, and his life threatened repeatedly. This harassment got so intense he was forced to move from his home. A combination of lawyer’s fees, moving expenses and medical bills has drained his financial resources. Ironclad is someone who shows up to keep our community safe from hate groups. He has a long history of defending death row prisoners and assisting with protest cases. He has given out lifesaving PPE within the protest community. Let’s get together and show we care.
