Iris' husband was detained over the summer and deported this December- leaving behind his wife, newborn baby born in October, and 6 year old daughter. During this time, the family lived with their aunt, who was pushed to self-deport in November after losing an asylum hearing.

Losing both sources of income has left this family in a position of great need. While figuring out their next steps as they most likely transition back to their home country, we are trying to find ways to help them stay in their current home so the oldest child can continue going to school. With so much painful change and loss, staying in their home and school community will help support them tremendously.
