UPDATE: Thank you all so much, we have just hit our target after a very generous donation from the Catrin Vaughan Foundation .
We have ordered Iori’s Tinytrax & are just so grateful for all your help in sharing our post & for your donations.
We are leaving the GoFundMe page open for now as we have several amazing people doing fundraisers & all money raised over our target will go towards other specialist equipment for Iori. We will keep you updated as soon as we can.
Thank you each & every one of you from the bottom of our hearts, we have been completely bowled over by your support xx
Help our amazing little boy Iori pay for his next outdoor wheelchair, the Tinytrax.
Iori (pronounced Yor-ee) has been using a powered wheelchair since he turned 2. Iori was born prematurely at 32 weeks & has Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy which mainly affects his mobility. Although Iori doesn’t walk, he is fully independent using his powered wheelchair. He uses it every day to get about his farm, feed his animals, hold his little sister Mati’s hand on a walk, go off for treks with friends & splashing through puddles.
Iori’s current wheelchair is called the Wizzybug from the fantastic charity Designability. Although Iori loves his Wizzy (those of you who have seen him in it will know how battered it is!), his needs have outgrown what Wizzy can do for him. He needs speed, he needs power to get through the mud & ruts on the farm, he needs a Tinytrax!!
We heard about Simon & his Tinytrax & arranged a demonstration here on the farm. It was amazing… mind blowing for us & so exciting for Iori. He could zoom around the field through the long grass, he could manoeuvre over all parts of our smallholding & he loved it.
We are fundraising the cost of a shiny, new, blue Tinytrax & would appreciate any help from you in getting to our target - maybe you could help arrange a coffee morning, a sponsored walk or maybe a hamper at your workplace this Christmas or maybe even Iori’s favourite event ever, a tractor run. Thank you all in advance from Meg, Damo, Iori & Mati x
