Welcome to The Hairy Marys, and hello from Moze and Tamara! Some of you might know us and some of you have found your way here. Thank you for dropping by.

We are two mums (Tamara and Moze) who met when we were at a low point. We were struggling with caring for children with additional health and social needs while trying to hold down a job, and get by.

So, we looked for humour in some sad and frustrating situations, and The Hairy Marys was born - a comedy series. Through lockdowns, caring, hospital stays, working, break ups and marriages, moving houses, losing our shit and finding our shit we wrote this show. We want the shoot on this production to be reflective of the lives of the women who made it.

We are seeking additional funds to support:

Carer costs for some of the key crew (who are carers)
Indigenous film creatives to work on this show (some of them are carers too)
Lastly, we want to provide some paid work experience opportunities for local Aboriginal boarding school students.
