Hi, my name is Indi and i’m a victim of domestic violence, i was attacked while i was pregnant by an ex partner. I recently publicly shared my story and was arrested & remanded for it due to the other party being legally protected, though i had lots of damning evidence including videos from my attacks, photos of bruises , medical records, the other party is still protected by law, they were also never remanded for their actions and i was for speaking out. I have an upcoming court date to determine if i can speak about things and I really need some help with paying for lawyer fees, I met with a lawyer who was really confident in my case but it isnt cheap. I live out of home and have always had to look after myself, so lawyer fees just aren’t something i can afford right now espically since i took a long break from my job after the attack. since sharing my story i’ve had over 80 women messaging me saying my story has helped them, but now i’m legally silenced, Any help would be greatly appreciated as i really want to continue to advocate against domestic violence and help other women. The other party has been convicted for what they did to me but they are still protected by law, any help or sharing would be greatly appreciated
