Help Increase the Reward for the Capture of Convicted Child Sex Offender Carl Cacconie
On behalf of Alana Ramirez and her daughter, we are asking for your help to increase the reward being offered for information leading to the arrest of convicted child sex offender Carl Wheaton Davies Cacconie (52).
In July 2025, after a three-week jury trial in El Dorado County, California, a jury unanimously convicted Carl Cacconie on six felony counts involving the sexual abuse of an 11-year-old child. The crimes devastated a young victim and her family, who showed extraordinary courage throughout the investigation, trial process, and publicly sharing their story.
Following his conviction, Cacconie was allowed to remain out of custody pending sentencing. He posted bail and was placed on an ankle monitoring device. A week before he was scheduled to begin serving his prison sentence, he cut off his ankle monitor and fled.
In August 2025, he was sentenced to 18 years in state prison and remains a fugitive today.
Nearly 10 months later, law enforcement is still searching for him. The Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers and the El Dorado County District Attorney's Office have offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. We are deeply grateful for that support.
Our goal is to raise an additional $4,000 to increase the reward to $5,000.
A larger reward may encourage someone with information about Carl's whereabouts to come forward. One phone call, one tip, or one piece of information could help law enforcement locate and arrest him so he can finally be held accountable and begin serving his prison sentence.
Every dollar raised through this campaign will be used exclusively to increase the reward fund associated with tips leading to Carl Cacconie's arrest.
This effort is about more than finding one fugitive. It is about standing with survivors, supporting accountability, and helping ensure that a convicted child sex offender does not continue to evade justice.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and social media networks. Public awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have.
Thank you for helping us bring Carl Cacconie into custody and provide a measure of justice for the victim and her family.
If you have information about Carl Cacconie's whereabouts, please call 911 or contact Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-AA-CRIME
