Sabai Dee and Hello, dear friends and family!
I'm excited to introduce you to Dao (ນາງ ດາວ), a sweet 12-year-old Laotian girl with cerebral palsy. Unfortunately, Lao schools lack resources to support children with disabilities, leaving many like her without an education.
Dao's Story:
Dao lives in a humble home pictured above, a one-bedroom shelter made of salvaged wood, bamboo, corrugated metal, and a black tarp. The structure, standing for 31 years, has been challenging for Dao, who has cerebral palsy. With your help, we're building her a new home, a 2-bedroom, 1-bath single-story house for better accessibility.
Construction Progress:
Construction began in December 2023 and is set to be completed by the end of January. My mother, Pha, oversees the project, funding building materials, while my wife, Shannon, and I are funding the labor.
How You Can Help:
Now, I'm reaching out to our community, friends, and family. We need your support to furnish Dao's new home. Our wish list includes bedding, sleeping pads, pillows, comforters, mosquito netting, and kitchen essentials. We're aiming to raise $1000 USD for furnishings, with any additional funds going to the family.
Thank you for opening your hearts and wallets for Dao's new home. Your generosity means the world to us! Please, share Dao's story by clicking on the above link " share."
Sincerely,
