My name is Ihsan, and I’m a 20-year-old student from Gaza. Just a few months ago, I was studying to become a paramedic—hoping to save lives and support people through trauma and crisis.
But in a matter of hours, everything I knew was gone.
On October 7, 2023, my family and I lost our home in Rafah to an airstrike. We barely made it out alive. We fled with nothing—no food, no water, no clothes, not even a pair of shoes.
Since then, we’ve been displaced multiple times, living in a tent, struggling to survive each day with my parents, two brothers, and four sisters. We’ve faced hunger, freezing nights, scorching days, and the constant fear that we may not live to see tomorrow.
I never imagined I would be the one asking for help. I always dreamed of *being* the help—of treating wounded children, offering first aid in crisis zones, and making a difference in people’s lives. But now, I can’t even secure basic necessities for my own family.
That’s why I’m turning to you.
With your support, I hope to provide food, clean water, and shelter for my family—and if possible, return to university and continue my path to becoming a paramedic. I want to be able to stand again, not just for myself, but for the people around me.
Please consider donating. Even \$5 can help us get through another day with dignity and hope.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And thank you for giving me a reason to believe in humanity again.
