Hi Everyone, my name is Janaye and I am the very proud Aunty of a beautiful baby boy Huxsyn. Huxsyn will only be 2 in November and he has just been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on the 15th of August. Huxsyn and his beautiful family have been absolutely blind sided by this diagnosis and are currently in ICU at the Children's Hospital. Huxsyn is a beautiful, energetic, kind and brave little man that lights up the room when he walks in. Sadly, this diagnosis and illness has absolutely turned his little life upside down. As Huxsyn is still in the very early stages of his diagnosis and treatment there is much for everyone who loves him to learn. However, his poor little body is finding the regular needle pricks incredibly traumatic. This fund is being created to support and reduce some of the burden this disease is having and will continue to have for Huxsyn and his amazing mother and father. There are substantial financial costs associated with this diagnosis such as; reduced income due to leave requirements, continuous blood glucose monitoring, insulin pump to reduce the number of needles Huxsyn will need to administer insulin, medications, and device extras as the Type 1 diabetes is better understood within Huxsyn's body.
