Help Huston see with the power of MyEye

Hi Everyone, I'm on a mission to increase the quality of life for my 14 year old nephew, Huston. Huston has been blind since birth and has been able to adapt to any situation through his strong perseverance and independence. While growing up he had public schools, Youth Challenge, and other organizations offer and provide him with additional support. He has developed a passion for playing sports from Goalball and Golf to Football and Wrestling. Huston especially loves learning new musical instruments and has at least 10 that he can play well, with his newest favorite being an electric guitar! He continues to amaze me with just how quickly he adds new talents.
In order to further adapt to our environment with a visual impairment, we had found this new product called the MyEye. Huston explains how this will help him in his own words: “I’ve been trying to work on being more independent. I’m really excited for the help that would come from the OrCam MyEye. It’ll be especially helpful to keep learning how to live on my own. My phone is great but there’s things it just can’t do and it’s frustrating. Sometimes it's really frustrating trying to read instructions on a box of food, my phone just isn’t helping for that and it makes me want to not do it and just eat a PB sandwich, cause that doesn’t take instruction. This will be great to have to boost my confidence and to help me achieve my ultimate goal of going to college on my own.”
We are hoping to raise the money over the next month to support this purchase for his 15th birthday on April 21st. Unfortunately, there are no external funding/social programs that will support the purchase of this device since it is not considered a necessity, so we are turning to GoFundMe to see if we can get some support from others! This dollar amount will cover the MyEye (2.0) Pro, MyCharger, Taxes, and Shipping.
