Please Help Hunter's Custody Case
Greetings Everyone.
My name is Matthew Carvalho but most people know me by my public persona Maverick Matthews. I am fundraising for a very bitter custody negotiation over the parental rights of my beautiful son Hunter.
I prefer not to get into specific details, not only because I believe that would be in bad taste, but also because this ordeal is ongoing.

Life can sometimes get messy as we all know.
I want my son to grow up, not just knowing his father, but with the feeling of wholeness and love that he absolutely deserves.
Sometimes, in a little place called America, the establishment of a father's rights (although technically and clearly defined by law and more importantly witnessed and acknowledged by all humanity), can be difficult within the confines of the modern version of our 'Legal System".
Unsurprisingly, it turns out the system is relatively easy to game.
Certain to say the least it takes: a lot of tears, a never ending supply of old fashioned gumption, and preferably lots and lots of money.
I want my son to grow up, not just knowing his father, but with the feeling of wholeness and love that he absolutely deserves.
Sometimes, in a little place called America, the establishment of a father's rights (although technically and clearly defined by law and more importantly witnessed and acknowledged by all humanity), can be difficult within the confines of the modern version of our 'Legal System".
Unsurprisingly, it turns out the system is relatively easy to game.
Certain to say the least it takes: a lot of tears, a never ending supply of old fashioned gumption, and preferably lots and lots of money.
This year my legal costs so far have exceeded $25,000 and still there is no end in sight. I have been forced to relocate across the country at significant cost and still have not been allowed access to my own son. I will find a way forward for my son and I, but have had to literally sell all my possessions to get there. I sold my dead mothers gold Rolex watch, an heirloom family wedding ring, my RV, my atv and literally everything else that wasn’t tied down and that I could get my hands on and it still isn’t enough. The legal system is worse than the worst junkie and ten times as ruthless.
These donations will go directly toward legal fees and my attempt at rebuilding a life with my son.
As one of my Buddhism teachers said, "Politics and The Legal System are a kind of. Ritualized Warfare. But no less brutal, and absolutely graceless."
I didn't design it and I certainly don't condone most of 'Modern American Methodology' as even a remotely useful approach to this life. The dealing of relationships included. But yet I must submit and I must play this game.
And although I am fairly ashamed to even ask for help, so many fundraisers will go up this year for so many lower causes. So much money will be spent in materialistic and shallow ways, with many, many millions spent just cleaning the belongings of the rich.
And so many sons will spend so much time without their fathers.
A good father is worthy of preservation. A good father is present.
So this is a challenge I must ask for help to overcome. Because I know there is enough money being spent obscenely which instead could be used to acknowledge and help all of the fathers of this world, not just a few. We have misplaced our focus past the trinity of the family. We are spending our money on things that truly do not matter.
As one legal professional put it,
"If you want fairness and equality go to Heaven, because here on earth we have the Justice System instead."
Or another told me,
"You have to forget what you think concerning things like good and evil. This is a kind of game. It 's a very serious game but it's still a game just the same. And it's played for keeps."
