This Thanksgiving, I’m organizing a community meal for people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in the Boston Area. Everyone deserves a warm meal and a sense of belonging — especially during a time where everyone is surrounded by those we love.

My name is Promise Abawa, and I’m a Harvard student who believes that even the smallest actions are better than no action at all. This year, I want to bring my words to life by hosting a free Thanksgiving Lunch for anyone and everyone who needs a warm meal.

The goal is to serve around 50–60 guests a delicious meal alongside small care packages that carry everyday toiletries.

Even the smallest contribution makes a difference. Together, we can bring the warmth and love that Thanksgiving is supposed to provide to those that need it the most.
