Help Horror Arts Collective complete their brick and mortar!
Donation protected
Horror Arts Collective has acquired a physical space and we need your help to complete the configuration! We’re creating a one of a kind horror-centric venue that blends film, fandom, media preservation, academia and atmosphere into a chillingly immersive experience for the community.
THE VISION:
Imagine a cozy, sinister space filled with cult classics, forgotten VHS gems and of course, your horror staples. A place where fans can gather and watch films in our 25 seat (or so) screening room, rent films from our expansive physical media library, support local creators, attend lectures and workshops and explore the dark corners of cinema history.
This isn’t just a screening room—it’s a horror hub.
WHAT WE NEED:
We have the space. We have the lease. We have the vision. We need your help to bring our creation to life. Your generosity will go directly to:
- Furniture & Décor: This is no Spirit Halloween designed playroom. Picture eerie mood lighting, cozy couches, posters of your favorite horror films and other decorative props and pieces to set the mood.
- Physical Media Library: VHS, DVD, BluRay. We want to curate a collection to die for.
- Light Construction: Minor renovations, some shelving, a concession stand, etc. Spooky touches to give the place real character.
- Supplies: Such as a popcorn machine and other concessions. Maybe an arcade game or two depending!
- Payroll Nest Egg: We want to do this right—compensating the small, passionate team who are pouring their blood, sweat and more blood into the project.
WHY IT MATTERS:
Spaces like this are rare. Horror has always been a home for the misfits, the creatives, the outsiders, the curious. This space, above all, is about community. It is a place for connection and celebrating the genre that unlocks, and helps us face, our greatest fears.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Donate if you can. Share with fellow horror fiends. Help us summon this dream into a reality. Whether you’re a slasher die-hard, a found footage fan, a giallo guy or just love a good jump scare—we want you to be part of this. Let’s build something unforgettable...together.
Join us—if you dare!
