We were alerted to a devastating situation: a cat left completely alone in an apartment after its owner was taken to the hospital 20 days ago, without telling anyone that a pet was trapped inside. For nearly three weeks, this poor cat survived without food, without care, and without a single human checking on him. When the finder learned a cat was inside, they rushed over with food, desperate to help. Tragically, not knowing about the dangers of refeeding syndrome, they fed him too much too quickly—something that can be life-threatening for a severely starved animal.
By the time we learned about the situation, the cat—now named Hope—was collapsing and barely able to stand. We had no choice but to rush him to the emergency hospital. The doctor there confirmed our fear: if Hope had not been brought in within hours, he would not have survived. His body was shutting down.
Now Hope is fighting for his life, and we’re fighting alongside him. Please help us give him a chance. Donate today. Hope’s life depends on it.
