We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved grandmother, Kim Han, a woman whose strength, independence, and love left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew her.
Grandma was the backbone of our family—a Khmer Rouge survivor and widow, fiercely independent woman who worked hard her entire life raising 7 children on her own, never asked for much, and always gave more than she had. She faced life’s challenges after losing her husband and immigrating to a new country with resilience and grace, raising her family with unwavering love, kindness, and faith. She taught us the importance of hard work, standing on your own two feet, and staying kind even when life is hard.
In her later years, despite facing health challenges, she continued to live with dignity and pride, never wanting to be a burden to anyone. She lived on her own until 2 years ago when she was 93. Her strength inspired us all.
As we navigate the difficult process of laying her to rest, we are asking for support from those who knew and loved her—or from anyone moved by her story. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help cover funeral expenses and honor her the way she deserves: with dignity, love, and the peace she gave so many during her life.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our grandma. Your support, whether through donations or simply sharing this, means more than words can express.
