Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

With a heavy heart, we are reaching out to ask for your support during one of the most challenging times in our lives. Our beloved abuelito, who immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico over 30 years ago in search of a better life, has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Now, as his fight comes to an end, we are faced with a heartbreaking reality: we cannot afford to fulfill his final wish—to be laid to rest in his homeland.

My abuelito left Mexico in search of a better life. He worked tirelessly, always putting others before himself, and never once complained about the hardships he endured. Despite the struggles, he never lost his spirit. He carried his love for Mexico in his heart every single day, always dreaming of returning. Now, as we prepare to say our goodbyes, we want nothing more than to honor his wish. However, the costs of transportation, funeral services, and arrangements are overwhelming, and we simply cannot do it alone. We want to give him the farewell he deserves—to honor his life, his sacrifices, and his unwavering love for his family.

Queridos familiares, amigos y conocidos:

Con gran pesar, les pedimos su apoyo en uno de los momentos más difíciles de nuestras vidas. Nuestro querido abuelito, quien emigró a Estados Unidos desde México hace más de 30 años en busca de una vida mejor, ha sido diagnosticado con una enfermedad terminal. Al llegar su fin, nos enfrentamos a una realidad desgarradora: no podemos permitirnos cumplir su último deseo: ser enterrado en su tierra natal.

A pesar de las dificultades, nunca perdió el ánimo. Llevó su amor por México en su corazón todos los días, siempre soñando con regresar. Ahora, mientras nos preparamos para despedirnos, solo deseamos honrar su deseo. Sin embargo, el costo es abrumador. Queremos darle la despedida que se merece: honrar su vida, sus sacrificios y su inquebrantable amor por su familia.
