Our beloved mother, Olga, passed away recently after a long and difficult battle with cancer. In her final months, she was surrounded by family, friends, and so much love. Even in her most challenging moments, she remained the heart of our home—lifting *our* spirits when we should’ve been lifting hers.
Olga had a rare gift for making people feel at peace. She met her diagnosis with grace, strength, and a quiet courage that humbled everyone around her. Rather than focusing on the pain, she focused on connection—welcoming visitors, cracking jokes, and reminding us of life’s lighter side. Even when she was sickest, she still found a way to make us laugh. Her sense of humor never left her—it was part of her light.
To know Olga was to be reminded of the beauty in accepting people exactly as they are. She showed love freely and made everyone feel seen. She helped us all believe that everything was going to be okay—even as she quietly prepared to say goodbye. The peace she carried became our own. Because of her, we were able to let go with full hearts, knowing she was at peace too.
We feel truly blessed to have had her in our lives; she was an example of compassion, joy, and unconditional love.
Her final wish was to be cremated and laid to rest with a simple and heartfelt service. We will be holding her funeral at Dieterle Memorial Home & Cremation Ceremonies.
