This Thanksgiving, we need your help to continue a tradition of giving back to those who’ve given so much for us. Community for a Cause is the only charity that steps up to care for the homeless veterans living at the Borden Avenue Veterans Residence in Long Island City each Thanksgiving—and we’re committed to making this year as successful as the last three!

Our goal is to raise funds to provide full Thanksgiving meals, including turkeys, hams, stuffing, and all the holiday fixings for these veterans. But we want to go further this year by providing warm winter coats and shoes for those in need. These simple yet essential items can make a huge difference in the lives of our veterans as the colder months approach.

Once again, we are proud to partner with Trader Joe’s, who will generously contribute to the food we purchase with your donations. But we can’t do this without you!

By donating, you’ll help us ensure that every veteran at Borden Avenue has a warm meal and the comfort they deserve this Thanksgiving. And if we exceed our goal, extra funds will go to the residential program at Beacon House in Nassau County to continue supporting veterans in need.
