Hi, the Banks family along with the Vassallo family are hoping to raise enough funds to help Mark Duncan. Some of you already know his story, but for those of you who don't, here is his story:

Mark is currently homeless and living on a piece of property that has a teardrop camper and a tent. No electricity or running water. We have known him for approximately 12 years and have done our best to help him.

Mark is a veteran and we have tried every avenue thru the VA that we could possibly go to and to date have had no success at all. Mark suffered 2 injuries while serving in the Air Force which has caused him physical disabilities and his mental and emotional health are compromised.

He was living on family owned property back in 2015 in a run down, dilapidated house which caught fire and burnt to the ground. After which, he has stayed with Danielle and Lee and Jeff and Michelle until those options were no longer available. The property was left to Mark and his 2 brothers, but unfortunately the 2 brothers are keeping him from getting his rightful share. Because of this we have hired a lawyer and have been in court for the past year fighting for his fair share. He won the original case and the last two appeals. The brothers have appealed again and this is the final appeal. The lawyer feels very confident that since Mark won all these cases up to date he should win this one and that will be the end of appeals. The money awarded to him will be used to purchase a small camper and to rent a space in an RV park.

We have exhausted our own personal funds on legal fees. We are hoping to raise the $8,000 needed to pay the lawyer for this final hearing. If anything is received over this amount it will be used for future expenses for Mark, such as food, utilities etc.

Mark is the kindest man with such a big heart, always helping us wherever and whenever he can. We ask that if you can share this with anyone you know who could possibly help Mark it would greatly be appreciated and if you aren’t able to help monetarily please send prayers. Thank you.
