This winter has been especially harsh, with more snow and cold weather than we’ve seen in years. As a disabled veteran, I know firsthand how tough it can be to go without the essentials, especially when waiting for donations that may never come. That’s why I’ve been using my own funds to buy and donate warm blankets, boots, and thermoses to homeless and disabled veterans at the Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury VA hospitals.
Unfortunately, I’ve reached the limit of what I can spare, but there are still so many veterans who could use extra help. I see every day how much of a difference these items make, and I want to do more. I’m not looking for recognition or praise—I just want to help as many veterans as possible, using the free time I have to personally buy and distribute these goods to those who need them most.
Anything you can give will go a long way toward making a real difference in a veteran’s life. Thank you for considering a donation and for supporting those who have served.
