Help Hilly recover stolen professional camera gear

Hey all,

It's Meg, Hillary's older sister.

Last weekend, I was visiting the coast and stopped by to visit my sister and celebrate her birthday a week early with the family. I arrived at the house in Coquitlam at around 11AM, and there Hilly was sitting on the chair outside the front door looking like she hadn't slept.

"How are you?" I asked her.

"Alright. Considering"

"Considering what, what's going on?"

"Last night I went into a Breka for like 7 minutes to get a treat and somebody smashed my car window and stole all my work camera gear."

OMG!

So this is what the fundraiser is for. During the span of under 10 minutes while Jaimie, Hilly, and Janice were buying some croissants - almost $10,000 worth of professional camera gear was stolen. They chased after the people in the back alleys of Vancouver but it was too late. A police report has been filed and all the correct steps taken: but the police have stated that they don't search for stolen items like this.

The camera in that gear bag was a very expensive professional camera that is key to Hillary's profession as a photographer. This is how she makes her income. She got this camera on a payment plan and had just finished making the payments a few weeks ago. She has redone her website and booked some photography gigs for the summer to keep expanding her career as a photographer.

Please help!

This is very devastating to her, and if you can give any donation that will help her buy some replacement gear, she can keep getting photography work throughout the summer and this year.
