Hi, we’re Gilbert and Eory, and today we’re raising our voices for our brother Heriberto.

For many years, Heriberto has been the victim of physical, emotional, and psychological abuse from his ex-partner. Out of fear, shame, and the stigma that still exists in Puerto Rico, he didn’t report it in time. Like many men, he stayed silent—afraid no one would believe him.

Today, he’s facing a false accusation that threatens not only his reputation, but also his freedom and his relationship with his children.

Hola, somos Gilbert y Eory, y hoy levantamos la voz por nuestro hermano Heriberto.

Por muchos años, Heriberto ha sido víctima de maltrato físico, emocional y psicológico por parte de su expareja. Por miedo, por vergüenza, y por el machismo que todavía existe en Puerto Rico, no denunció a tiempo. Como muchos hombres, eligió el silencio por temor a no ser creído.

Hoy, enfrenta una acusación falsa que no solo amenaza con destruir su reputación, sino también con separarlo de sus hijos y llevarlo a prisión injustamente.
