Help Heidi and Son Overcome Tragedy

On June 18th, 2023, my oldest son was shot in the back of the head. He ended up passing away on 02/27/24 from complications related to sepsis. Our community supported us during the 9 months between him being shot and his passing. I went back to work shortly after his passing.

I have another son whose father has been in & out of jail for most of his life. He’s an amazing young man!! He plays basketball and football. His work ethic for his age (15) is second to none!! He is so responsible!! He rides his bike to football practice every day of football practice (M-Th). He just completed the season of travel basketball.

His older brother that passed away in February, his father was killed when he was 4 years old. For the majority of my boy’s lives, I have supported them by myself. I have had support from a few other people (excluding during the 9 months between Bronson being shot and his passing) but the majority of those that supported us are dead now: my grandmother and my father.

Any and all donations will be used to get me back on my feet. I am back in the restaurant business, and right now is a slow period.

On top of that, my youngest son and I were able to go on a beach trip with my cousin that was much needed for both of us after the past year. I had not been back to my job for long enough to have paid time off. I thought I had enough money put back that we would be okay to go to the beach (we did not have to pay for room,) and to pay our rent when we got back. I did not, so now I am struggling to get back on my feet financially even though I am working 6 days a week.
