Hector and Monsie Correa are my youngest brother and sister-in-law. In 2020, they moved from Ansonia, Connecticut to help care for my elderly parents. My mom passed away in 2023, and since then, Hector and Monsie have been helping me as caregivers for my dad, who is 90 years old and has health issues including dementia. Their dedication to our family has been a true blessing, and they have always put others before themselves.
Last week, their home was tragically damaged in a house fire. The fire caused complete water and house damage, destroying all their furniture, appliances, and personal belongings. They escaped with their pets, but now face the daunting reality of rebuilding from absolutely nothing.
Starting over from scratch is an overwhelming challenge, and right now they are focused on the immediate essentials- replacing vital daily medications, purchasing basic clothing and hygiene items and getting food and supplies for their pets as they work toward finding stability.
Insurance will not cover the loss, leaving Hector and Monsie in a very difficult situation. This disaster has not only affected their living situation but has also made it harder for them to provide the support my dad needs.
I am doing this on behalf of my brother Hector and his wife, Monsie. They mean so much to me and they can use all the help they can. Any donations will be greatly appreciated by the family. I ask for God's blessings for your generosity!
