My name is Heather, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. After leaving an abusive relationship, my children—Harrison and Hartwell—and I have found ourselves homeless in Colorado, far from the support of our family. Every day is a struggle as we try to find stability and safety, and it’s been incredibly hard to provide even the basics for my kids while being so far from home.

The funds raised here will go directly toward helping us secure a safe place to live, get a car so I can get to work and take care of my children, and provide food for our family. My greatest hope is to get back on my feet and, eventually, pursue the possibility of moving home where we have family and support. Unfortunately, the courts have deferred to my ex-partner, Mike, who has the financial means to fight against us moving home, making our situation even more challenging.
