My name is Andre Devine and I am the founder and executive director for Hearts for the Homeless of MS. We provide support to the homeless and orphaned community through implementing food and supplies, counseling, healthcare checks, immunizations, and STD/STI testing, and other services. We work in several locations in cooperation with other community support agencies such as Gateway Mission, Stewpot Mission, Grace House Ministries, and others.

I am currently initiating a food pantry project in Jefferson County. I have secured 3000+ square feet of warehouse space and need to not only begin the infrastructure installation but also begin obtaining canned and packaged foods (no meat or vegetables at this time to simplify storage and processing) for distribution to the Jefferson County, Mississippi area.

We plan to partner with Mississippi Food Network and Food Pantry; however, their programs require us to successfully implement and operate a food pantry for a minimum of six months. This is where I need your help.

I need to raise enough money to establish and stock a food pantry for that length of time and then assist with the continued acquisition of food to keep the pantry stocked. I have the space, volunteers, and certainly the need, but funding is hard to come by.

I NEED YOUR HELP! Hearts for the Homeless of MS is a fully volunteer-staffed 501c3 charity that removes the bulk of overhead most other larger charities have. This means we can direct more funding to the actual people we serve.
