Help Haylie Walk Again: Support Her Therapy

Donation protected
My 19-year-old granddaughter was in a terrible car accident three years ago that left her with severe brain trauma. Her brain was herniating, and the doctors told us there was nothing they could do to save her. But one doctor who saw even the slightest bit of hope decided to perform a craniotomy to relieve the pressure and drain the blood in her brain. She made it through the surgery, though her outcome was still completely unknown at that point.

From the very beginning, we were told she wouldn’t survive the night, that she wouldn’t wake up, that her brain wouldn’t respond, and that recovery wasn’t possible and that we should remove her from life support. But by the mercy and grace of God, Haylie has defied the odds at every turn. She’s been slowly and steadily coming back, learning to communicate nonverbally, using her hands for small tasks, recognizing her loved ones, breathing on her own, making jokes, being her funny self, and finding ways to express herself. And even through all of this, she’s still herself, full of joy, humor, and the willpower to overcome her situation. She’s still able to enjoy life in her own beautiful way.

Haylie is truly a fighter full of courage. Her next big goal? Learning how to walk again.

Haylie currently receives occupational, speech, and mild physical therapy at the facility where she lives, and we also have a wonderful occupational therapist who comes twice a week to work with her. But the truth is, they just don’t have the equipment or resources she needs to take the next big step learning how to walk again. That’s why NeuroFit360 in Florida is so important to us.

Haylie is a fighter, and she’s ready to keep pushing forward. NeuroFit360 offers a specialized, intensive therapy program tailored for brain injury recoverymand it's exactly what she needs right now.

The journey has been incredibly challenging, and we are now seeking support to help cover the cost of this next phase. Our goal is to raise $10,000 so Haylie can attend therapy twice a week for six months, with each session costing $175.

Any contribution no matter how small would truly mean the world to us. Our hearts are full of faith and hope as we continue to believe in Haylie’s healing and trust the God of all mercies to guide her through. But we know we can’t walk this path alone. Your support, prayers, and kindness give us strength, and we’re deeply grateful for anyone who feels moved to be part of this next step in Haylie’s journey.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
