On July 9th, our lives took a dramatic turn when our son was unexpectedly struck by a distracted driver en route to his summer job as a lifeguard at Ward 3. He was subsequently airlifted to Lafayette General Trauma Hospital, where he received ICU treatment for 9 days. His injuries were substantial, including head trauma resulting from a fractured skull, a broken leg, heel reattachment surgery, and a broken ankle.

In light of the severity of his injuries and the prolonged recovery process, we are redirecting our efforts to provide ongoing care to facilitate Harllen's return to optimal health. We respectfully request support throughout this difficult period.
