Hello everyone,
My name is Asheima Parkinson, and I currently live in Baltimore, Maryland. I was born and raised in Jamaica and much of my family including my father, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends still live in Hanover, Jamaica.
Recently, Hurricane Melissa devastated their community. Many of my family members have lost their homes, roofs, furniture, clothing and some have lost everything they owned. This disaster has left them struggling to find food, shelter and basic necessities.
I’m raising $10,000 to provide immediate assistance and relief for multiple family households affected by the storm.
Funds will be used to:
• Purchase food, clean water, and clothing for families who lost everything
• Assist with temporary shelter and roof repairs
• Replace basic household essentials (beds, cooking supplies, etc.)
• Support children and elderly relatives with urgent needs
I will personally ensure that all donations go directly toward these relief efforts and are distributed among the families in need in Hanover.
Even a small donation can make a big impact. Providing a warm meal, a safe place to sleep or hope for someone trying to rebuild. Please consider donating or sharing this campaign to help my family and community recover from this devastating storm.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
With gratitude,
Asheima Parkinson
