Help Hannah Secure Her Teacher-College Spot!
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Hannah Normore. If we’ve crossed paths, you know I light up whenever I’m teaching or supporting kids—especially those who learn differently. I just received an offer of admission to teacher’s college (the program of my dreams!), but I need to place a $500 deposit to hold my seat.
Growing up, school was my refuge from an abusive home and the teachers who championed me by slipping extra books into my backpack, challenging me with riddles, guiding me toward scholarship programs quite literally changed the trajectory of my life. Their belief carried me from that chaotic childhood all the way to a university degree, a career in applied behaviour analysis, and now to the threshold of becoming a certified teacher myself.
When our classroom teacher at Oakbridge Academy had to step away last spring, I stepped in. Those two months at the front of the room, crafting lesson plans, balancing IEP goals, and watching “aha!” moments spark in students with autism, confirmed what my heart already knew: I’m meant to teach.
Now I’ve been offered admission to my dream teacher-college program. To hold my seat, I need to pay a $500 deposit within the next week. Normally I’d cover it myself, but I’m currently off work while I wait for knee surgery, and the timing couldn’t be tougher.
Paying It Forward
I promise to:
Keep donors updated on my journey through teacher’s college.
Champion trauma-sensitive, inclusive classrooms where every child feels safe and valued.
Pass along the kindness you show today to the next generation, one student at a time.

Hannah
