With a heavy heart, I am making this for my sister, Hannah. On Aug. 7, my sister was brutally attacked, beaten, strangled, and shot by her sober ex-boyfriend in front of their 7-year-old son in broad daylight. Blindsided, she did not provoke this and was a victim of pure abuse and violence. A true nightmare.

The girl we grew up with, friends with, work with, see in town, a giver to the community, is there in a second for anyone and everyone. Who, I know personally, would give the shirt off her own back for anyone in need. Would never ask for anything in return. As long as I’ve known my sister, since birth, she has been the most compassionate, caring, selfless person, and the only reason I’m making this is because I know she never would ask anything of anyone. But I have to.

Hannah is in the recovery process, and we have no idea how long it will be. Not only physically, but emotionally and mentally. Not only her, but her dearest son, Aaron, who we all know and love. The most innocent of the whole story. Surely the most affected.

Hannah will be unable to work for the unforeseen future. Even before this incident, Hannah was a single mom doing every last thing on her own, but now it’s 100x harder. We are in the process of getting her and her son therapy, counseling, and physical therapy. Being out of work and physically unable to even walk right now.

We would appreciate any help to get her through the next steps of her recovery, getting back on her feet, and regaining control of her life. Thank you so much

side note: I am holding the funds for Hannah while she recovers but all donations will of course be given to Hannah solely for her and Aaron’s therapy, physical therapy and living expenses because as she wants to go back to work asap she just doesn’t know exactly when that will be.
