Our dear colleague and friend Hakim has recently suffered a severe stroke that has left him unable to work and in a fragile condition. Hakim has been a dedicated cleaner at our club for many years, and anyone who knows him can tell you that he is so much more than just a staff member — he is truly the heart of our community.

For years, Hakim has shown up with a smile, kindness, and humility. He knows every corner of our club and every member’s name. He has supported us quietly and faithfully, always going above and beyond. Many of us will agree: Hakim has been the foundation of this place, and his presence has made our environment warmer, cleaner, and more welcoming.

Now, he needs our support.

After his stroke, Hakim is unable to work. He is facing a long and uncertain recovery, and with no income coming in, he is struggling to cover even the most basic needs — rent, bills, food, and medical-related expenses. This is a very difficult time for him, both physically and emotionally.

We are launching this GoFundMe to provide Hakim with:

• Help covering his essential bills while he recovers

• Support for day-to-day living costs

• A small safety net to reduce stress and allow him to focus fully on healing

Hakim has always been there for us. He has been a loyal worker, a familiar face, and someone we all deeply appreciate. It is now our turn to stand by him and show him that he is not alone.
