Hafeez Ahmad has been a pillar of safety and comfort for the Muslim community in Fresno for decades. He has been my friend for 16 years. As a licensed security guard, he watched over local masjids and community events, especially the MyDeen Center. His sharp eye and steady presence allowed families to gather and worship with peace of mind, knowing Hafeez was there to protect them.

Now, Hafeez is facing a difficult chapter in his life. In his 70s and struggling with poor health, he lost the home he was renting when it was sold. With nowhere else to go, Hafeez has been living in his car and sometimes in cheap motels. Despite all he has given to the community, he now needs support from those he once protected.

We are raising funds to help Hafeez buy a house, so he will never again have to worry about where he will sleep. The full fundraising goal is $200,000, which will buy a small house or apartment here in Central California. The first milestone is $35K to get him out of his car and into an apartment.
